Welcome to St. John-Holy Angels Athletics!  SJ-HAA is the athletics program for St. John the Baptist-Holy Angels Roman Catholic Parish in Newark, Delaware.  We offer athletic programs for children in Grades K-8, and compete in the Wilmington CYM athletic league.

SJ-HAA is a community-based program.  Participants are welcomed from outside of our school and parish community.  However, if you are coming from outside of our parish, you should first consult with the CYM offices to confirm your specific parish assignment, prior to registering with SJ-HAA.

We participate in a variety of sports during three defined athletic seasons.  Please see the links above for the specific sports, and for more information regarding each program.

Please refer to our Registration Guide for more information and step-by-step instructions.  Registration rates are posted before each season.  SJ-HAA uses a tiered registration rate schedule, with Active Parishioners, Holy Angels School students and current Religious Education Students receiving a discount.  Children must be currently enrolled in these programs to receive this rate, and enrollment for each participant will be verified.

Mission Statement

The mission of the St. John-Holy Angels Athletics is founded on Christian principles to inspire excellence in our athletes and athletic programs.  Athletes will be challenged to develop mind, body, and spirit through our programs and will focus on playing with integrity as a part of a team; they will learn to both win and lose with grace.  Coaches will serve as role models and teachers to challenge our athletes to perform at their personal best.  We embrace and welcome diversity and seek all levels of talent from around the community to be a part of our programs.
